I recently came across and bought some PMC rounds in unmarked white boxes which only said:

PMC Ammunition
Made in Korea
Date of Manufacture: March 2012
.38 Special 158gr FMJ Ammunition

Since I noticed that the only .38 Special FMJ round on the PMC website has a 130gr projectile, I was wondering if ANYONE here has EVER encountered a 158gr .38 PMC FMJ round before? If you have and have tested it with a chrono, what is the velocity of the round? If you have no accurate measure of velocity, then how much recoil did it generate? What it reliable? Accurate?

I do not have a chronograph with me and so can't test the rounds that I have.

Could it possibly have been stock intended for domestic use?

IIRC from the last time I was over, Korean police still use .38 special revolvers.

Fiochi and Prvi make some 130gr 38spl. I haven't chrono'd the Fiochi, but I'm not a fan of whatever brass they use. 1 out of 10 gets me a sidewall blowout in the cylinder.
