MCGunner: how do you like the folding clip grip? I almost bought one of those one time but I decided against it at the last minute.

I had one for a while and found that it didn't conceal well enough for me as the rear of the gun stuck up out of the pocket.

Thanks. I see it there, but not where I could buy one. Honestly, I am not entirely set on buying one right now, unless they may discontinue it at some point in the near future.

I won't own a mini revolver without the holster/grip, myself. It hides in a pocket better than without it in my experience. It breaks up the outline, what little outline there is, and just looks like a folding knife in there. I carry my Black Widow in the same Blackhawk number 4 pocket holster that I carry my Taurus 85SSUL in. I carry it muzzle down folded. Hand in my pocket, I can partially open it if I feel the need. With the grip fully open, it's still easier to carry than my little .38 UL, though it don't fire a 158 grain HP, of course, or reload very fast. It's my church gun, low threat, but I still have something to carry in the restaurant after church. Remember the Killeen Lubys. The Black Widow is quite accurate and with the holster grips on all my guns, I can get a full grip on them. The grip that came on the Black Widow isn't bad, but is a little bulbous.

Another thing about the holster grip, when I wade fish, I can clip it to the top of my shirt collar to keep it out of the water. It looks like a knife clipped to my shirt's inside to anyone that might happen by. Again, a low risk environment, but I do have SOMEthing.

The folding holster grip makes the guns more shootable and gives 'em more versatility of carry. I can't shoot the little parrot's beak grips on the little NAAs, can' grip 'em without a bigger grip and this gives you a bigger grip without having a bigger revolver since they fold.

If it sticks out of your pocket, you must be carrying in a watch pocket. Hell, mine'll even hide in many watch pockets!

thank you for pointing that mistake out Jframe

i have one orion from an early bird order with NAA. They are being sighted sporatically in gun stores around the country. The supply is increasing.

Forgive a noob for butting in, but I was sent a link to this thread.

I got this a few years back in a trade and it has become my daily carry. We can OC here in Louisiana, with no papers required. I clip it on my belt every morning. It's a .22LR in the old style folding grip. I load it with CCI Segmented Hollow Points.

I got this one a while back NIB from the LGS. It hits the eight inch plates at twenty five yards every time.
6" Hogleg in .22mag.

I bought this one second hand. A .22mag convertible with the .22lr cylinder. The computer controlled machining is so good that I can use the long rifle cylinder in any of my magnum revolvers with no timing issues.

I added some pearl grips cause I live in NOLA and everyone needs a PIMP gun.

This is my most recent addition to the herd. A .22 magnum Wasp.

Well, . . . , I hope y'all've enjoyed looking at my little collection.

Ok, I don't usually play but what the heck. Yes, those are lasers. It let's these little guys plant 'em all in the 10 ring at 7 yards, but it's probably more useful in distracting the BG and make 'em laugh. That's when they get shot in the throat. ;)

No pictures I just wish they would make another run of their break top version again. By the time I found out about them, NAA had stopped production and they were all sold out. Lack of demand couldn't be the excuse for not producing more of them.

NAA was losing money on every top-break Ranger they were selling. The price was either $500 or $550 for the test market pieces. I've seen them going for as much as $3,000 as collector's pieces.

I don't think many people were willing to fork out $500 for a top-break Mini.

I would have given an extra $200 for a break top. The issue with me is that I would rather that break top have the longer grip and barrel than it was made with.

That may be the issue. Too many variations wanted, but not feasible.

Here are a few.

Picked up my third mini-mag, a Sidewinder convertible, about a month ago. It is always in my pocket unless a larger caliber pistol is carried.

I have had a 22lr 1 5/8's for a few years. It is my "mushrooming/snake" gun. I load a couple cci shotshells then a few rem subsonics, which are a bit easier on the ears. Though it's been on and off a few times I have finally settled on using the holster grip. With so many people carrying these folding utility knives from home depot , it doesn't draw much attention. But I just don't use it much. I have always wanted the black widow, maybe I should put up a sale/swap add in the classifieds and get it over with.
