Nagants: are they gone forever?

Nagants were sorta popular at the local vintage military matches. There was always at least one. One guy reloaded his using drastically resized .32-20 casings.

They appeal to me as having the same steampunk look as a Mauser C96 Broomhandle or a Boer War Era British Webley (both of which I have). Beginning to look like I missed my window of opportunity when I convinced myself I did not need to complicate my ammo supply situation, back when M1895s and 7.62x38R were common and cheap.

I wouldn't mind having one I don't guess but it would be strictly for collecting/conversation piece. My father in law has one and I've felt the trigger on it. Wow. Never experienced that heavy of a trigger on anything...........ever.

This thread makes me glad about picking one up a couple months ago. Had a friend that knows I love Mosin Nagant rifles and I got it from him for $140, which I first thought I was overpaying a bit but after looking for them online felt much better about the price.
Interesting that they are (I believe) the only revolver that can be silenced, since the cylinder moves forward to get a good gas seal (and thus the horrendous DA trigger pull).

$200 is still a little pricey for me. It also appears that they only ship to C&R's or other FFL's.

You're going to find that with any online seller. Find a buddy with a C&R or find the cheapest FFL around town. Nobody is going to ship a Nagant pistol to your door without C&R or FFL.

I am aware that firearms can only be shipped to a FFL; I have purchased guns online before. Some websites will sell to the general public and either provide a list of FFLs that they ship to or allow the buyer to send them the information on the FFL to be used for delivery. Other sites don't sell to the general public and only sell to FFLs directly. It appears to me that the linked seller does not sell to the general public.

If the price was lower I would call them and ask but that $200 Nagant will be at least $250 by the time I get it due to shipping and transfer fees. That is too much for me considering I would be buying a surplus firearm sight unseen and I can find them locally for that price.

It was better when I got one from J&G... $100, and $10 hand pick fee. Perfect revolver. Got with a Yugo Tokarev, also in great condition.

Got it just after Sandy Hook. Wanted one, so jumped on it since I knew the panic would spread to surplus guns. Also got a spam can of both ammo... so have a good number of rounds for cheaper shooting. I use new production ammo, for the most part... the surplus is backup.
