I hope he doesnt get turned in for destruction of evidence. I bet that art could solve more than one open case sitting on a detectives desk. It would make me feel even better if I knew that all those guns had been tested by the police and matched to their crimes. Just because he got rid of the evidence doesnt absolve him of guilt.
What was he thinking? We all want to go vigilante on brown skinned people? This guy needs to be destroying his guns since his thought process is clearly impaired.

Surely you jest, racism is defined as acts of white people against ethnic minorities, so per definition bashing white people is not racism. We ARE the racists, and that is why hate towards us is always fair and must always be tolerated.

He's projecting his own negative views of other social groups in society onto gun owners.

Thus, he could see himself shooting "brown people" all the time, because they frighten him. Meanwhile, I've met "brown shooters" across the internets, and they generally give these morons the same respect we're giving mr. Meltguns.

This is cognitive bias at its most basic; everything this man sees confirms his paranoid world view. The funny part is that he fails to see that, even in his scenario, guns are not the problem. Racism is the issue at hand. With or without guns, it seems that the pale people are going to waylay the dark people because of their innate hatred for anyone different in appearance. If only they were more open-minded, and completely unarmed. :rolleyes:

Now, if you'll excuse me, my gun is insisting that I go kill some minorities.
 
This is a perfect example of what psychologists call transference. The writer obviously is himself a racist with a sick fascination with guns and is afraid that if he has a working gun he will act out his own fantasies and kill people. Therefore, he wants to destroy guns before he becomes a victim of his own insanity.

To the author: I seriously suggest that you stop abusing psychoactive substances. If you continue to do, you will become a serious threat to yourself and the community. As I am a licensed psychiatrist, I do have the authority to have you committed to a state psychiatric ward or substance abuse rehabilitation center.
 
I think like any law abiding citizen

I feel like any law abiding citizen should be able to defend themselves being white, black or any other race for that matter against anyone trying to do them or there family harm whether the criminal be white , black or any other race. A** holes and Great Men and women come in all shape and sizes and guess what ? in all different colors as well, don't judge a book by its cover, we as gun owners love the color of brass and money . thats all that matters. I sometimes feel weird a little being one of the few African Americans in a gun show or store:confused:, but I have broken no laws in my life and expect the same treatment as anybody else. Respect every body as equals and expect and demand the same respect for yourself.enough about stupid idiots that support stupid racist ideology's and even stupider gun control laws. either make very good sense but what do I know:confused:.
 
Currently, we are finishing an audit of gift and toy stores in San Francisco, to determine the prevalence of toy guns in low-income neighborhoods. The results will be used to help pressure local governments to enforce existent policies that ban some of these toys and which unfairly target low-income communities.

Toy guns, why? I use several different toy guns to help teach my daughters as well as nieces and nephews and their friends.

I just read through that entire site. My eyes hurt, as well as my heart. I do not want to believe that there are people out there that are as far gone as the "John Ricker" that was mentioned.

Honestly, how can someone fight that? Everytime I've had some sort of problem I've been able to look at the problem and find out what will make it right. I've never had to compromise to solve any of my problems, it was either wrong or right.

These people, and not just the gita people, but the anti gun crowd in general are a difficult bunch to try and correct. I've observed a couple, including a few that weren't completely anti's, but just didn't like guns. How can this be?

How can we change their collective minds. We're all gun owners, most of us won't admit to what we own on an internet board, but we all own guns. I would figure that would mean we have some sort of disposable income. Is there anything out there that is "Pro Gun" that would be worth donating to.

I'm not talking about the NRA either. I am a member, but I want something that's more local that we could donate to, or even start up. There has to be a way to beat the anti's at their own game.

They can take all the guns off the streets that they want to legally, we can't put them back on. I'm not saying I want to supply gangbangers, but I don't know exactly how to word it.

I want to be able to diffuse all of the anti's efforts. There should be no compromise. A firearm is a firearm. Whether it is single shot or full auto, it is always a firearm.

For every firearm that is recorded as 'destroyed' manufacturers should make two more. That's my opinion.

Every person on this forum should write, not just your senator/congressman, but every senator/congressman.

Perhaps we should set up a general form letter and everyone hear change it to fit you. Then send every single one of them, on the same day, to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Granted they'll get there a couple of days apart, but they'll get there in a mass volume.

Then do that to every senator/congressman. Do it the same way, Do it every two weeks. It's only a few cents for an envelope and stamp. If you honestly can't afford that, then I'm sure I, or another member, could lend you a stamp. But if you can't afford that, you may want to consider another hobby.

It may not be much, but hell, I'd even work to organize it with the hopes that some other members would be willing to help. But I figure 50,000 letters to the white house and congress might just help us a little bit.

I'm done for now, sorry I went off on a tangent.

10-1 odds he's talking about the booths at gun shows which sell WW II and similar memorabilia/uniforms/etc. - you know, the ones that have Nazi uniforms in the same booths as US uniforms.

But I guess to this type of person, that's one in the same these days...

Chris,San Francisco has been strange and weird since its founding as Yerba Buena in 1842.Its always been a city of dreamers,schemers and mavericks.
Since the Gold Rush of 1849 its been America's ultimate Manifest Destiny dream and destination.The final stop on the continent.
As a result, its been filled by the erotic,the exotic,the snake oil salesmen,the Tammany Hall pols before Tammany Hall.
And from the beginning it was ,has been and always will be the town that going to go against the grain and thumb its nose against what the rest of America thinks.
Its beautiful,charming and alluring beyond description.The Baghdad by the Bay appellation doesn't do it justice.Comparing San Francisco to any other American city, scenic wise, is like comparing the Hope Diamond to a cheap Zales Jewelers knockoff.
But unfortunately, morally and politically its become rotten to the core, and finally the rest of America is realizing that this beautiful place is not living up to Tony Bennett's lovely stanza's.
I lived in your Paradise for three wonderful years in the early 1960's.It was strange and bizarre even then.A Casablanca for my time.The most incredible years of my life.
But its taken a awful turn in the past 45 years and we can only hope that sanity will begin to prevail and that the City built on seven hills will come full circle and regroup and rejoin the majority of us in mainstream America.
But no matter what,like Bogie ,I'll always have the greatest memories of your

I worked with one for a while. Interesting to talk to, but he was definitely racist. Quite the true 'gun nut' versus the average 'enthusiast'.
 
Odd. I own more firearms than anyone else I tend to spend time with, and yet I'm the first to be rather annoyed when someone cracks a racist comment.

Oh, and I'm a Young White Male, as feared by all. :rolleyes:
 
I agree completely with datruth. I am a white male, he is a black male. Who cares? I judge people only after I meet and interact with them. I judge gun owners mainly by their behavior with and around guns and their behavior at the range. I can tell you that I have seen some very well disciplined shooters and some very scary reckless shooters of every color, race, ethnicity, etc. Race has nothing to do with OUR beliefs in the RKBA. It may have influence over the anti's, but I believe the High Road (and most shooters) are above that.

Anyway, off to my Klan rally. We're setting up the volunteer schedule to work the recruiting table at the next gun show.
 
Hasn't US gun ownership been rising since WW2? And hasn't racism been falling since WW2? If anything, should the conclusion not be that gun ownership reduces racism? Obviously this is a huge logical fallacy but it would make more sense than the opposite.
 
I honestly doubt this, and if it is true then probably right next to the Neo-Nazi groups are the rest of the gun show patrons telling them to go home.

There ought to be some discernment exercized when terms like "neo-nazi" and "racist" are bandied around. And there are some folk who do not have fantasies about shooting "brown people" but simply do not want to be around them.
