So much for the concept of using firearms for sport anymore. We apparently should just all be grouped in with the criminals.

As with the other major networks, the majority of thier broadcastings aren't worth watching anyhow. It's virtualy impossible to find anything moral on tv outside of public broadcasting.

Womens Suffrage and Prohibition were both quite contentious. Both finally passed in 1920 IIRC. Prohibition was repealed in 1933.

All of them included violence. Women's suffrage, not nearly as much as the others, but there was still violence.

Therein lies the hypocrisy.

They are willing to show fictional portrayals glorifying firearm violence, but will not show law-abiding folks engaged in peaceful competition involving guns.

Not much of a surprise. The last shooting sports coverage I remember was several of the Olympic shooting events, and there was damn little of that.

Unless you are really into it, shooting does not have a great spectator appeal anyway.

I checked The Outdoor Channel schedule for Wed. They are supposedly running their usual gun and shooting shows.
