I lower the ram after sizing, when I lower the ram the neck sizing plug is pulled through the neck. Exceptions: I have neck reamer dies, after sizing and before lowering the ram I ream the neck before lowering the ram.
Pulling the sizer plug through the neck is believed to pull the neck and shoulder from the case body,
After all these years it seems someone would have figured out how to measure 'by how much' besides me. Pulling the sizer plug through the neck is complicated by work hardened cases.
