I need a holster for a very very picky person. Dad. He has a Bersa .380, guess a thunder its that style but he has never told me model or anything like that. They cant have to many .380's that look like that style.

So I need something for that gun. And he wears Pointer brand bib overalls all the time now cause belts cause his leg to go numb. So Im at a loss of what to get him. No real waist band so to say. And he is saying the .380 is too big for his pocket confrotably. He puts it in a pocket when he is carrying it, but no holster. I was thinking something for a rear pocket but not sure. Any ideas of what to get a picky man that wears bib overals?

Just did a quick search on "chest holsters" which turned up a couple of maybes, but you'd have to call them to pin down specifics. Friend of my fathers' carried a 1911 in a special pocket he had sewn under the bib of his overalls, by a local seamstress who used his pattern. Only other thing that comes to mind is a belly band, which isn't as restrictive as a regular belt. I tried one, and the salt water it produces in the summer would cause rust on a Glock frame.

I thought belly band at first but he is overweight like I am...so that wont work very well. Im guessing im just sol at finding him something. As with bibs you cant wear your shirt out and not look like you are a total bum, so even a clip on the button area on the sides wouldnt look right.

Ive got an idea of one i could possibly make or modify one to do but dont know if my skill is there. Take an IWB holster and modify the belt clip to be alot longer to hang it inside the pocket. Just enough so the butt of the gun dont stick out. And that way can keep the gun away from keys and change that you might put in there by accident. thats the other problem. dad carrys stuff in both pockets. the man wants his cake and eat it too....i dont think there is going to be anything to sastify him at all

Pocket carry

If you carry in your pocket, there should be nothing but the gun & holster in it,
John

Your dad sounds just like me dad! My dad wants a .45acp or better yet, a .44 Mag that can fit in his pocket and be the same size as a small .380. He wants all the power in the world and have it not weigh a thing. He also wants to be able to target shoot with it and kill racoons and such around the house.

There is no such gun I tells him but he doesn't want to listen.
