Need Advice - Para USA refusing warranty claim because my pistol is Canadian

Can you get a standard 1911 barrel for the Para? (And mags?)That may be an alternative path worth investigating. The gun SHOULD shoot the same.

As someone above noted, it's strange to see a full-size 1911 offered in .45 GAP as there's little advantage for that caliber in that frame. (The GAP was originally offered, I think, to make .45 run in guns that couldn't take the longer .45 ACP round.)
I may be misunderstanding what you're saying, and while I don't know that much about the Para LDA CCO, but I'm pretty sure it is a shrunk frame like the Springfield EMP's.

What this means is that the CCO-GAP's grip has an overall circumference 1/8 inch (3.2mm) less than the company's .45 ACP CCO. Para's .45 GAP magazine measures 1.250 inches, while an ACP mag comes in at 1.368.

Guess a barrel swap isn't an option, then... But looking for a similarly-sized .40 magazine could give you another mag spring that might work. (Find a mag that is similar and then just order a spring or two (from a source like Wolff Springs). If you have other guns, compare the springs in their mags to your Para mag, and you may be able to order something from Wolff Springs that will work.)

You'd be surprised by how many mag springs are interchangeable across a number of different gun lines. (How the springs interact with the follower is the critical point.)

Question, regardless of Para USA or anything else: why in the frickin' FRICK would you make a 1911 in .45 GAP???????
I'm always hesitant about companies and their use of proprietary accessories or features. A certain computer company who shall remain nameless (Think Eve's snack offering to Adam) and having to buy cables and accessories from them and them only. No, I'm not still bitter.

And then saying there is not warranty because they said i used a after market charger because the battery degraded to fast. Funny, couse i only used the one that came in the box. I refuse to buy anymore of there products. Once my phone dies and can not be repaired. That will be there last product i own.

I've never owned a piece of their hardware and never will, because they shafted my wife and I over support for iTunes of all things.
Back in the early days of iTunes being available for Windows we downloaded around $300 worth of music to our PC, then couldn't get those files to successfully migrate to a new computer, the iTunes install on the new PC wouldn't recognize the files from the old unit as valid, even though we followed the instructions from Apple. called tech support, was very clear and concise about what was going on, and got the following exchange
  • Apple tech support: what model of iPod are you using?
  • Me: I'm not using an iPod.
  • A: well what model of Apple computer are you using then?
  • Me: again, I'm not. this is a call about iTunes on a Windows computer, I am not currently using ANY Apple products other than iTunes.
  • A: Sir if you're not using any Apple hardware, we do not offer any tech support.
  • Me: iTunes is an apple product and I called the "iTunes Support line", So let's be clear. are you telling me that since I'm using the windows version of your product, and happen to not being using it in conjunction with an iPod, Apple does not offer ANY form of tech support?!?
  • A: Correct, we do not offer tech support unless there is some form of Apple Hardware involved in the issue, since you're not using any of our hardware to run iTunes it's not our issue.
  • Me: but I called the iTunes help line for help with iTunes,
  • A: no hardware not tech support
  • and a further two repetitions of the above to the next two higher levels of "Support" and in the end much cussing and swearing that I would never knowingly buy another product from them s long as I lived.
And in the nearly 15 years since, I have not only never bought another of their products, I have actively told anyone who asked me about any such products why I will do without a service/device rather than use them.
