I am have a Colt Cowboy SA 45 Revolver and am in need of the parts for the firing System: Transfer Bar, Firing Pin, Spring and housing!! I've been told to just hang it on my wall or use it for a boat anchor!!! Don't think so!! I do some prospecting and it would be a perfect piece for this rough and tumble hobby. I am looking to purchase these items and get it to firing condition again for I do love SA Revolvers! Dakota

Unless you're the type that wins the lottery often, you're going to have a tough time with this.

Colt only made the Cowboy for a couple of years, and not many spare parts were ever made.
What was made, Colt probably kept to service customer guns.
As far as I know no parts house has any.

Colt will not sell you the parts, but if they still have the parts you can send the gun in and they'll install them.
That's probably going to be your only option.

What dfariswheel said!

There are no Colt Cowboy parts to be had.

Hang it on the wall, or send it back to Colt and Whine like a whipped dog.

That's your only chance.

And that isn't a very good chance at that!

Even Colt wish's they had never made them in the first place!!!!

What happened to the old parts
There were none.
dfariswheel explained the situation perfectly.

Whatever extra parts Colt made in the short time they tried to market the 'Cowboy' guns were probably used up fixing returned guns that didn't work or broke in the first place.

Yes, as with anything, the parts can be made by a skilled gunsmith.
At several times the value of the gun.

@ rcmodel.
I was not talking about the Spare Parts, I was talking about the parts that came in the gun originally.
Parts can be made, or even welded up and refitted.

Yes, more information is needed. Why are new parts required?

Probably better off finding a used Uberti.
