Need help choosing between Ruger 10/22 18.5" Man's best friend collector or 20" Target.
I have Ruger 10/22 Take Down I have been using as accuracy testing platform with smallest 0.65" 10 shot group at 25 yards and about 1.0" 10 shot groups at 50 yards - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/how-accurate-is-your-10-22.851005/#post-11122419
I am thinking about replacing the TD with one of these and would appreciate your input as to which is "good enough" or "definitely better" for 25/50 yard accuracy testing.
I read most 22LR ammo stop accelerating around 16"-18" and accuracy from 16"/18" barrels may be good as if not better than longer 20"/22" barrels. If 18.5" barrel is good enough, I rather not spend the extra $170 on 20" Target model. Or I can buy Green Mountain barrel for the
This will be used for bench testing with scope only.
