Need help w/bullet ID.

At a recent garage sale, picked up some components from a guy who's dad had passed on. He said his Dad had reloaded .45 acp, like me. Along with a nice stash of brass there were some bullets that were easily Id'ed for the .45. However i'm not familiar with the following. Its a 200 gr JHP WITH cannulure.
Its .451 in diameter and is .550 long which makes it appear possibly too short. Can these be used in a .45 acp ? If so, just lightly taper midway on the cannulure?

It is likely designed for .45 Colt, but loaded to an OAL that will feed in .45 ACP using 200 Gr data should be fine. Forget about the cannelure and pick an OAL that looks good, like it will feed. I'd guess in the neighborhood of 1.230 to 1.250. (That's a guess )


I load the Berrys 200 Gr "HP" at 1.233 average and it is right at .547 long.
