Ok so the girlfriend and I spent yesterday running around to a total of about 5 gun shops because she is looking for a .22lr pistol. She cant decided exactly what she wants, BUT when the girl asks me to run her around to gun shops all day who am I to say no.

While we were on this excursion one of my favorite shops had in stock a AK-22. I had never seen this gun before and basically fell in love with it. I have wanted and AK for a while but don't have any great use for it and I don't have a semi auto .22 so this kinda fits the niche.

Does anybody have one? Are they reliable? Also how hard is it to find extra mags for this?

Any reviews at all would be appreciated.

I am guessing it is either a Armscor or a Armi Jaeger ak. the Italian model was proly the best ever made, and they did one in 22 mag as well, very unique.
the Armscor is just fine from all I've heard, never really heard any probs with it, but know that you will proly never find any parts or mags for it.

Look for a wasr-22. It's for the most part
a normal AK type,just in .22LR.
+1. The Armscor looks like a silly attempt to make a .22 look like an AK. The WASR-22 is an AK that fires .22lr. It isn't really expensive either, and it will accept real AK furniture.

I have one of the Armscor AK's. I haven't shot the thing in years. I doubt you'll be able to find mags for it. On mine the rear sight has broken of and I just havent gotten around to figuring out how to fix it. It ran OK when I did use it but it just never felt anything like an AK. I have been hearing that the new AK-22 coming from GSG will be a lot closer to the real thing.

Thank you very much for the input, I still may spend part of my tax return on this but now I know a little more on what to look for.
