This is an 84s I presume? That's a bit high - you should be able to find one around $900 without much of a problem, fixed stock around $800. Less if you look around harder or get a bit lucky. These were among the least desireable of the preban AK's for quite some time, due to the higher cost of mags ($25-35) and the somewhat proprietary design - this was a firearm designed for the commercial market, there is no "standard" as with the 5.45 or 7.62 guns. However, there seemed to be a bit of a run on them with the advent of the cheap 5.45 krinkov kits - the 84s was/is probably the best platform to build one upon. As such, the price went up. A few years ago, a fixed stock model under $600 was not uncommon, while the 7.62 guns were going for several hundred more. I got one for $500 about a year and a half ago, but sorta lucked into that one.
