Just saw yesterday, RMR has some 38/357 "seconds" at 8.5 cents each, and some "pulls" at 8.7 cents each. And their prices include shipping and handling.

I believe Speer Gold Dots are plated.
AFAIK, Speer Gold Dots and TMJ have copper plating on par with jacketed gilding metal thickness that range .015" - .030" in thickness - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...ng-at-25-50-yards.808446/page-3#post-10470195

Speer Gold Dot: Around .018" - http://www.speer-ammo.com/products/gold_dot_const.aspx

Speer Total Metal Jacket (TMJ - Trademark) : Around .015" - http://www.speer-bullets.com/products/handgun/plinker/tmj.aspx

FYI, Jake from RMR reports they use around .023" jacket thickness for their in-house jacketed bullets.

I think it is safe to add that the .023" jacket material that RMR is using is much tougher than plating of similar thickness. I load many Gold Dots and although they work great their plating is still easily damaged compared to a real jacket.

I PMed Jake when RMR started making 95 gr FMJ in-house as I previously pushed 100 gr thick plated Hardcore Match RN (No longer in production) to almost 1500 fps (rated max velocity) in my carbines - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...n-9mm-40s-w-45acp.799231/page-3#post-10245856

I was thinking of pushing the 95 gr FMJ to 1600+ fps and maybe towards 1700 fps and this was Jake's reply:
There shouldn’t be a limit to the 95 grain bullet. Most .224 jackets are 18-20 thousandths.

Our FMJ are 23 thousandths. They can handle anything you throw at them
