Hi there, I recently acquired a Marlin auto loader 22lr, it has a bull barrel with a target recessed crown, and is the takedown configuration. the 70 year old man I bought it from told me that it belonged to his grandmother who was given the rifle from the local drug store she worked at. I have scoured the entire rifle and cant find a model number or serial number anywhere, also there is no evidence of them being removed which leads me to believe that this rifle came from Marlin with no identifying marks. is this possible? and if so does this make my rifle worth more money? also is there another way to figure out what I have in reference to model? I can provide pictures to anyone who can help me identify this rifle thanks fellow members any info you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

If you can post a picture here, I am sure somebody will recognize it.

If made before 1968 it was not required to have a serial number although it is unusual to not have a trademark. I doubt that makes it worth more money.
