Does anyone have a sidelplate screw for a Taurus 605, .357? I've tried everywhere to no avail.
The two back screws are smaller than the front, that secures the crane. It's the front one I need. Numrich doesn't note any difference when you order from them.
Thanks. Of course, I'll pay.

I called them two months ago---they said they didn't have any in stock, and told me to call this month. Which I did, and they said there aren't any in stock, not nickel, stainless, or blued! I told her I'd take whatever. She gave me an order number, took my AMEX number, and said to call in another month.

Hmmmmm?

Another resounding report of poor Taurus customer service.

I had a friend with a Raging Hornet who was broke down for almost a year after he bought it waiting on a part made from Unobtainanium to arrive in the U.S.A. from Timbuktu.

He finally got the part, put it in, and sold it at the next gunshow to cut his losses.

I'm with your friend, RC----as soon as this pistol is put back together, I'm selling it. I like it, it's reasonably accurate and comfortable to carry, but I can't justify owning something that I can't fix myself. It's like if AutoZone wouldn't sell me oil filters for my Ford----you'd buy a Chevy.

Probably moot, as you probably already did, but if not, give Jack First a shout. Maybeso!

Well, after another frustrating three phone calls to Taurus, (who couldn't find my order, disconnected me, and then told me the parts were still on backorder---it's an @#$@# screw, people!), I called Jack First in South Dakota. Sweetest lady you'll ever wanna talk to. Parts in stock and shipping today. I'm getting their three volume parts catalogue, as well, as she said they stock older Winchester parts in good quantity.
Thanks for the tip, moosehunt.
