New 397

Got this today. Put a Williams peep sight on it and took all of three shots to zero in my basement[raining outside]. Took a pic with my 392 for comparison.

Looks good How does it compare to your 392? Any differences aside from the stock?

Pumps slightly easier,that's about it.

With most of it being made of brass, should be close to an all weather air rifle.

Just got done shooting some paintballs and cherry tomatoes off golf tees in the backyard. Took some slight sight adjustments as it was a little longer range than the basement. Even with the high winds here today it was still a lot of fun. This was the most I've pumped it and it is easier than my 392.

Does it dump all the air at 8 pumps? I have bought two 392's and one 397 in the past couple years and two out of three won't dump all the air past 7 pumps. Mine are the wood stock versions. I'm hoping the new ones work better.

Need a stronger spring to hit the valve.

Does anyone sell such a spring or should I just look for one at the hardware store?
