New 625

I just ordered a new 625 JM.
All my other S&W's have Hogue grips which i'm happy with.
My understanding is the 625 has a round butt K/L frame grip frame.
So if I order a new grip/stocks, I need to order for the K/L round butt frame?

Yup. Unless they're a special run, all S&W revolvers now come with a round butt frame. I believe your gun has the Miculek stocks; if it were me, I'd shoot the gun a while before replacing them. I have a 620 and put Ahrends stocks on it; I couldn't be happier. I got the round-to-square style without finger grooves.

The 625 is an N frame, you need to get round N frame grips. Wait until you have tried the Miculek grips.

Hmmm, if you don't like the JM stocks, I have some pull-off Hogues from my last two new 629's (8/05 & 4/06) I'll swap you for it...

Seriously, I hate rubber - those JM stocks are fine. The Ahrends are great - try their site. Try those JM's for a bit - I love 'em on my 625JM - great bargain of a firearm.

I have a 625-8JM. It came with the Miculek grip. I found it a little narrow and I prefer something a little wider and checkered for a low recoiling gun like this. At the moment, I am using Pachmayr Presentation grips. That is subject to change with out notice.
