Just noticed this mark on the frame under the loading gate. Please disregard the dust and micro-fibers. Simple casting or machining flaw? Other?

Thanks!

None of the above. It's the end of a hole, inside of which is a pin that hold the firing pin bushing in place. At the other end of the hole, under the rear sight the pin is polished flush with the frame and very difficult to see. Relax! All is well.

I just bought one a couple of days ago... I noticed the same thing. I guess I will stop losing the sleep that I wasn't really losing over it:)

FUN GUN!

One other tip: In the highly unlikely event you have to remove the firing pin bushing to replace either the firing pin or spring, use a felt-tipped pen to make a mark across the bushing's face and frame. Makes it much easier to align the bushing so that it will again line up with the hole. ;)

Don't think I should go messing around with pins that I have to forum post to identify, but thanks for the tip!

In other words, possible but not probable.
