A friend just made up a wildcat based on .38 special brass. It is necked down to .30 cal. A barrel from a Remington 700 in 30-06 was stubbed into the chamber end of a 20 gauge H&R Topper. The complete rifle in the bottom is the end result.

The case is reloaded in 7.65 Tokarev dies. I have dedicated this rifle to cast bullets. Below are loads with (l to r) 165 Magnus cast, 155 Lee cast and 113 Lee cast. I am looking for the most accurate load in the range of 3-6 grains of pistol powders like 231, Bullesye, Red Dot, etc.

Of course, there is no recoil and very little noise. I do not think a suppressor will be necessary in the 2 gr. load range. I can see thousand round loading runs to keep up with grandkids. But that's OK, they have to help me cast and reload what they shoot.

Accuracy is there, I just have not found the right combination of primer/bullet/powder/powder weight. My goal is 1/2 MOA at 50 yards.

Chipmunks and grackles beware.

I have been going to get a Badger...just like other things...have a hard time getting to around to it. They have been talking about it on castboolits for a about 2 years, now.

Let us know what you think of it.
