:neener:I have joined the CZ club with a PCR. I have battled for months over what 9mm to get. The P01, Compact, PCR, S&W M&P, Glock 19 were what I narrowed it down to. Then the local Academy dropped the price on the PCR from $589 to $529 and enough was enough! No pic, sorry, its a box, stock PCR. Whenever I get around to putting grips and stainless guide rod, will post.
First impressions: Very good fit. The entire pistol is very tight.
The mags drop free at the push of the release, I had heard that some CZ models dont.
The sights are "clean"if that makes sense. Seem like they sit very low to the bore, but they come right up and it just feels right.
Double action pull seems a little tough. Solid, not squishy like some others I have tried (A S&W and Ruger P series)
Single action pull is not as light as I would like. Not really any take up. Seems to break hard, if that makes any sense. I have heard and am hoping that the trigger will smooth out with use.

I will be taking it to the range this weekend and putting about 250 rounds through it. Will post those impressions after as well as a pic of the first mag on paper from 21 feet.

Anyone know where I can get a couple more mags that dont cost $40 like the ones I have seen?

Pic for referance for those surfing without firsthand experiance, old picture of one of mine.

Trigger can smooth out over time, or you can get a trigger job from czcustom.com, Angus Hobdell's shop. I have personally handled his wares, GOOD stuff Maynard.

I never really did much to mine, love it the way it is, only put on some Hakan grips.

Welcome to the wonderful world of CZ, sir!

Armoredman, what kind of wooden grips are those and where can a guy get some for his new PCR?

Best trigger solution is the #15 mainspring.

Use the #13 for competition, the #15 seems to be reliable with any load
I can put through my P-01 and Nancy's PCR.

That said;)
I'm hearing that the recent PCR triggers are outstanding.

Love my PCR, I carry it everyday, chose it over the G19 among others. Trigger has gotten better but this is my only CZ pistol, probably my last, at least for a while. as far as cheaper magazines are concerned CDNN is fine but can charge high shipping costs. Try http://Gregcotellc.com they charge a little more but shipping is reasonable so overall cost is less.

i have a CZ 75B, and I love it. but it likes to eject rounds on my head and in my face, but it might just be ammo (blazer).

Lot of that going around. I chose mine over a new Sig P225 when Sig was discontinuing them. Same price, I chose the PCR and am glad I did. Years later I picked up a used Sig P228 for a decent price as I heard this was the "Holy Grail" of Sigs. Great pistol, but it sits in the safe and I carry and shoot the PCR. Nothing against Sigs, just sayin.

OK -

Don't get me wrong, the PCR is a wonderful firearm.

But the P-01 is my carry of choice.

Something I've noticed about the P-01 at least mine,

It is never throws brass into your face.

More like, it throws brass into orbit.

A small bitch, but cleaning up brass after a session

Is an extended pain in the butt. But I'm not complaining!

If you put thin grips on the PCR, it is - or at least feels -scarcely any thicker in the butt than the P225, but holds six more rounds. It also has a smoother and shorter DA trigger pull. For that matter, it even fits into some of the same holsters as the P225/228.

I prefer a pistol to throw brass well clear to having it tossed at my head.

Grips are from Hakan Pek of Norway, thanks. :) I carry a P01 full time, but the PCR does ride BUG duty. I would feel just as good with either gun as primary, not a problem.

If only the CZ 75D PCR came in a single stack, I know of the CZ Rami, but I just don't want one, CZ-Dan Wesson makes the 9mm bobtail 1911 Guardian... HMMM?

Blazer alumiunum ammo is the only thing my PCR doesn't like.
This seems to come up with some frequency, my own included. In a single box I had four failures to eject. I switched back to brass (including some Blazer brass) and it ran perfectly again.

I carry my PCR in a Bianchi Shadow II holster designed for the Sig P228/229. It fits perfectly. My P228 was actually a bit TOO snug in it.

Thin aluminum grips = single stack feel in the hand. Trust me.

Yea, mine was similar but was more gradual. Seemed like the aluminum was not hot enough to cycle the slide so I just stay away from the stuff in my PCR and its 100% reliable.

Kony,

How is the checker on your grips? I have gone back and forth between the smooth and checkered grips. Not sure zi would like having to put grip tape on my grips, although I have never tried it.

Welcome to the cZ club. However, be warned that other cZs will start following you home.

On the subject of Blazer aluminum case, I shoot a lot of it and have never had an issue in any of my cZs.

viking, the checkering on my "border checkered" grips is actually quite smooth, which helps with minimizing them grabbing my shirt when carrying iwb. The downside is that they are slicker when hands get sweaty but have not had any issue holding on to pistol.

Get a new spring from Wolf Springs to lighten up that DA trigger. I put a 14# in mine. BIG improvement and it has never had a light strike on any ammo I put through it.

Snap cap that pistol and it will smooth up some. Still not ever going to be light and smooth, but hey, its intended to be a police weapon not an Olympic target gun.

I love mine!
