I got my first FAL, and I decided to go all out. I got a DSA OSW, all rails, and trigger job, with an 11" barrel. It is absolutely great. I love shooting it. It took about 7 1/2 month total, 6 months for the rifle, and 6 1/2 weeks for the NFA paperwork. It was well worth the wait. I will be ordering another DSA FAL in the next few weeks. I am going with the same rail system 16" barrel and a standard stock.

Yup - I hate you too :D

Congrats on your FAL - remember that a range-report is mandatory ;)

Nice rifle - I just got a DSA 21", fixed stock. I like the classic look but NFA stuff is always cool.

Nice rifle. I have an SA58 para carbine with the 16.25" barrel, and I also got a couple of the 30 round mags for it. Have you shot yours, yet? I imagine that the muzzle flash and blast has to be fierce from that thing.

Thanks everyone, I have taken it out, and you learn real quick to stand directly behind the shooter. The recoil amazingly is not bad at all. The flash is big. It groups really well with Remington UMC, and my reloads with BLC(2) and a 150 gr Hornady FMJBT bullet.

Very nice! I prefer the longer barrel but this was for sale so I bought it. I had a SA SAR48 back in the mid 80s but sold it, wish I still had it!

I need a FAL. Bad.

Then I'll need one with wood furniture cause they're so sexy.

Then I'll need an SBR side-folder with rails cause they're badass.

:( Not gonna happen.

I obviously don't have the disposable income you do. I am hoping to find the money for a DS Arms Para FAL by November. Until then, I can only look at pictures like yours and drool.

Do you have a chronograph? I would love to know what types of velocities you are getting with that 11 inch barrel, especially compared to the 16.25 inch or 18 inch barrel of your next rifle.

Stock up on mags and ammo...the way things are going, you could need em in another couple years.

I do have a chrono. I plan on taking it out the next time I go shooting. From what I have read it is only supposed to be a 6% drop in velocity. I am going to make a magazine order real soon also.
