Hi gang,
I was just checking www.fnhusa.com & saw a few interesting items:
1) FNH is going to combine all US operations/plans into a new company; FN America. For now, FNHUSA.com will stay as the main US website for parts, firearms, service, etc.
2) FN America will roll out in early 2015 a new compact FNS pistol. It will be available in 9x19mm(9mmNATO) and .40S&W for now.
The guns will have the same details and formats as the larger FNS series. The new Compact pistols will also come with or without ambi safety controls too.
That's a good idea for US customers & sworn LE officers who like a choice.
3) FN America will also start a Individual Officer sales program where qualified professionals(sworn LE officers, corrections, retired LE, prosecutors-DAs, federal agents, security/licensed, etc) can buy new fireaems at a lower rate. Other firms like Glock & SIG Sauer do this too. Check the site for information and dealers.
4) FN America will also lower the MSRP on new FNS series pistols for all US customers. This is for the standard black style pistols. Night sights might be more. Stainless slides might be higher than normal. I like the flat black & would consider a slick Cerakote or Metalife anyway.
FNSs aren't as popular as M&Ps, XDs, SIGs or Glocks but they are well made & have many good features for a carry or duty pistol.
