New grips for a 1911

I had some of those, just could NOT get used to finger grooves on a 1911! I gave them away although they were a great grip for some I imagine. They just made a 1911 not feel 1911 for me.

My favorite so far has been a pair of VZ "Operator II" grips. Pure functionality - not necessarily pretty to look at, unless you find functionality to be beautiful.

"Aggressive" means that the grips dig into your skin. There are little spikes where your fingers go... It may cause your fingers/hands to burn a little, but it's easier to hold onto the gun during recoil or sweaty conditions. I believe comfort isn't necessarily important when choosing your grips.

They are a little on the pricey side...

Here's what Sarge can do for a very descent price, keep in mind these aren't plastic squirted out and stamped by some machine, they are the work of a true craftsman.

Before, standard double diamonds, note the width and the exposed frame on either side.

And the new, "whose is that?", comfortable, beautiful, functional stocks.

There are any number of excellent choices available and I encourage the OP and everyone else to consider custom stocks as a true upgrade to any pistol. It's ashame my cell phone cannot capture how amazing they look and feel.

This is a set of Davidson Double Diamond G-10 officers grips that I put on a Colt CCO that I redid.
