New Gunbroker format...

It blows big time. I was checking on a few items today and noticed the change. Tried to like it but, nada, it just sucks.

Yeesh, if it ain't broke ...

I like the old one much better. I suppose we'll get used to this new one eventually but I hope they give an option of switching back to the classic view.

This AM when it first switched over I was watching a few Smith K-22s and noticed that the bid history was showing all bidders' maximum autobid even while the auction was still on. I could see my competitors' maximum bids. At least I got new K-22 on the first day of this new format, so it's not all bad. :)

I do not care for the new layout at all. It is cumbersome to use and not seller friendly either. Buyers won't even see my images unless they scroll down the page or I will now have to pay to have them at the top of the page rather than using another host for my listings.

I'm not much of a fan, but I'm sure that's just because I'm so used to the old format.

I'm sure in a couple weeks we will all be used to it and it will be fine.

Tangentially, anyone else not able to access GB right now?

Checked it fifteen min. ago.
No change, checking rifles, magazines, and I even signed in.

The difference (for you) might have been while using a different type of computer?

i gave them my feed back (thumbs down) when they did the test roll out a couple of weeks ago

i guess it'll be something i get used to, but i was very comfortable navigating the old site's format

you have to click the link above description to actually see it in new format.

I like the fact that you can zoom in photos, depending on quality seller uploaded.

I was just on there yesterday and again today. Same old format as before; no changes.

The format or layout for the items are different but I think they will be very acceptable once we are used to them. It is new but give it time.

:):)

Even with their mobile friendly version on my phone it's still the same old format.

Seems the same to me.

I wonder if different operating systems interpret it differently now?

I for one, am sick of change for change's sake or to justify designer's and engineers salaries so can sympathize with the OP on being uncomfortable with it.

Todd.

Changed for me as well. Very different, more like Guns America. Time will tell if I like it or not, but since it is rare I buy a gun these days, it isn't really a big deal.

+1. Positive change is all well and good. Moving around existing elements and otherwise messing with a standard UI "just because" is annoying and a time waste.

Quit screwing it up.

I don't know why they can't leave things alone. If it is broke, fix it. If it works, don't mess with it.

They do the same thing with operating systems. About the time I get comfortable navigating a system they change it and I have to learn everything all over again.

LEAVE IT ALONE!

+2.

I preferred the old format, and see no advantage to the new format, it seems like change for the sake of change.

The new format is growing on me. I like that the pictures are available right near the top and are easy to view one after another. It is also nice having the Bidding area right at the top. This could cut down on a lot of scrolling time when checking out auctions that come up in a search.

I think I would like it even better if one of my items sold. It seems to really be a Buyer's Market in firearms at this time.
