In the spirit of Win308's post about the laws of Ohio, I am similarly curious about the laws in the "Free State" of New Hampshire.

What is the law in New Hampshire re: using lethal force in self defense? For example, if an intruder breaks into your house, shoots at you, and heads for the door can you shoot him in the back when he is fleeing without fear of prosecution?

Texas has an affirmative defense in that if someone breaks into your house you can shoot them without fear of prosecution.

the state of NH web site is known as Webster. Go to

http://www.state.nh.us/

and the on the right hand side click on Laws and Rules, Click on State laws and type in your search 627 is the RSA on Use of Force in NH.

Sorrry I thought most NH Residents knew about Webster.

As a amember of the project I would be happy to answer any questions I can. From what I gather NH is very friendly to people defending themselves. It is also arguably the most pro gun state in the union.

Teachers and parents can be armed in the class room.

I searched the FSP's forum and found many statements by members indicating that they, and NH where pro self defense, but nothing about laws.
