Welcome! Are you planning on getting a concealed carry license?

(Somebody was bound to ask sooner or later, might as well be sooner.)

Hey new here, already received two warnings and an infraction hope I can fit in better. I come from a long line of military members retired or passed away. I tried to enlist in the Marines when I was 19 but was denied.

Other then that im from Detroit and I like guns. LOTS of guns. And deer. :)

New member here, from central VA. Began shooting and reloading back in the 80's, fell dormant (kids, job, boat, etc.) from about 1990-2014. Just getting back into the habit. Enjoying this new-fangled thing invented since I was last an active shooter/reloader--the internet.

New guy on the block!
I have been collecting Russian weapons since I was 15 yrs of age. My Dad left us a rather large collection
that was put into a Trust for the family and off springs. I have about 25 shooters that are not in the trust
at this time. I have a library of nothing but Com Block weapons so if I can be of help
to a novice on this subject please let me know. I am in Goodyear, Arizona

Hello. My name is Frank, and I live in northeast Iowa. I have been a hunter since my 10th birthday, and a 'plinker' at our local gun club since '93.

I am most often shooting handguns, and recently got my wife in to shooting also. We enjoy making noise!

I recently purchased a reloader, and am looking forward to working with it. I have been reloading my own shotgun shells for 20 years, and it is time to 'learn' again.

I've visited this site as a guest several times, and the wisdom and information shared on this site is outstanding, and I look forward to being part of the group.

Greetings from NC!

I am a (currently inactive) Cowboy Action Shooter and all around fun gunner. I have heard good things about this board and hope to meet lots of new and fun folks here.

I am not a gun enthuses; but, I have a Spanish made (TAC) 455 British Revolver That I have become intrigued with. It is not a Webley but a S&W copy proofed in London. I would like to confirm what I think I know and discover what I do not know.

My name is Jim, I've just signed up. I'm a random (what pleases me) gun collector/customizer. I have a number of old and new rifles/pistols. Some target, some huntingI, some old some new. I recently discovered the VZ 58/VZ 2008.

Got back into weapons about a year and a half ago when my health took a downturn and had to give up tractor pulling. Pretty much stuck with an oxygen bottle. I've also started reloading and making the guns I buy look and feel the way I want them to. I'm building a small range (100 yds) in the back yard from concrete barriers, dirt and Old Tires.

I now have two VZ 2008s now and have just ordered my third. So far I've been lucky with the VZ 2008s I have. The Century VZ 2008s seem to be getting better. I noticed this between my first and second. I just ordered another through Palmetto.

So far I've redone some beat up real wood furniture and installed it on my first 2008. I'm also making an extension to go between the stock and the gun to get a one inch extension. The Warsaw pact LOP is too short for me. I've also installed side rail mount, from Israel, to the receiver so I can mount a scope. I've reworked and polished the trigger, spring, sear and striker. I now have a nice 4.5 lb. trigger with a smooth crisp let off.

I'm going to remove the pistol grip then drill and tap the trigger guard and install a socket head screw and lock to act as a trigger over travel stop. Any thoughts on this. I figure I'll need to cut a relief into the hand grip

What I'm working on is to create a display.

First gun will be sporterized with wood furniture, a fancy muzzle brake, a peep sight, a red dot and a 5 or 10 round magazine, looks like a very civilized sportsman's hunter/target gun. This should be my general shooter.

The second gun will be displayed with set of beaver barf furniture, bayonet, 30 round mags and a sling and 4 mag pouch with a paratrooper folding stock as part of the display. Very Military " a soldiers Assault Weapon".

The third gun will be tactical, black furniture, folding stock, front hand grips, bi-pod, flash hider, clipped together big 30 round magazines, possibly a drum mag, flashlights, lasers and a big scope. VERY SCARY

All are intended to be and will be shooters (their just too much fun). I'm gong to make a wall hanger display rack so people can see what a$$s these anti gun ASSAULT WEAPON people are. Same gun different look

Any body have any thoughts or suggestions. I'll attach some pictures later you guys can print so we have something to rub in their faces.

You all be good now.

Hello all. I'm from Vermont, a gun owners paradise. I have a small collection of Garands and M1 Carbines with a few AR's thrown in for good measure. I also collect 1911's and bayonets.

I reload 30.06, 30Carbine, 45ACP and 223.

I conceal carry and do not need a permit to do so here, as it is the citizens right to do so without first getting someone's permission. :)

Have a great day all!!!

Hello everyone. I'm sort of a newbie as far as firearm ownership goes. Actually owning them that is. As a teen I had a .22 but I got my very own first couple of guns last year. I got a Mosin dated 1943. I'm planning on getting one made in the late 1800s or at least pre WW1 if I can. When I first bought my Mosin I was just like. I want a rifle bigger than a .22, and this looks cheap, the bore was good, and it's a WW2 artifact so I got it. After shooting it a few times, looking at, and cleaning it I fell in love. Then knowing the long history behind the design boosted this love and I want to get more lol. Although I'm worried if I got as many as I wanted I would be a Mosin hoarder and wind up on some reality TV show. lol.

Ernie,
Once I get home this evening I'll price your gun for you. I'll also give you any info I have on the gun I'm assuming it's a 45?

Hello, I'm new to this, I have often read that a .17hmr has not the power to kill an intruder. I don,t know how many times I have laughed at such total BS... I own a Savage 93r17 hmr the ammo I use is ballistic hornady vmax . I have shot large rooks at up 220 yards and some had the their insides blown out. The human skull is not very thick, anything that can enter the brain can most likely kill. Yes the hmr will kill a man any one who say,s it would not is a liar ( fact) even .22 gamo shadow at very, very close range has enough power to put a very good pellet into a mans skull. I don,t know if that would kill, but I wouln,t like to find out.. Sorry about the bad typing I'm not very good, lol im using an old iPad.

Hi I am TINA I live in MONTANA and I am a avid hunter here I use a 30/30 with iron sights to hunt and I currently shoot a glock 45 semi auto handgun for target practice and general safety as I do hunt for antlers as well and would use the 45 for bear protection as there are many grizzlys around here
