There is a new movie out called 21 Jump Street featuring actors Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. This comedy is about some marginal cops going under cover as high school students.
The issue I have with this movie is how these actors are handling their weapons. They run with guns drawn and finger on the trigger. They muzzle sweep each other and the public at large. They are shown in an advertisment holding their weapons improperly. This is how millions of people who are either gun owners or future gun owners are influenced in gun handling skills. I see all the time at public ranges. You can within seconds see who has good training and who learned gun handling from tv and the movies.
Hollywood does the public a disservice when they drop the ball on gun safety.
