I won this little beauty on GB, was the only bidder.
Traditions.jpg
A Traditions SAA by Pietta in 44 magnum.
When it arrived I discovered that the gun was not safe to shoot in its condition. The cylinder did not lock up on 3 chambers and would rotate left to right
while the hammer was pulled back or at rest. So I called Traditions and they said to send it to them and they would fix it. Only they did not offer to send a
prepaid shipping label. For me that's another $50 investment so I contacted the seller on GB and received a shipping label within minutes. I shipped the gun
to Traditions and in 8 days it was returned. Their notes indicated they just had to polish the bolt.
Yesterday I took it to the range with some hand loaded 44 special rounds. I fired 24 rounds thru it and it functioned perfectly. I shoots a bit low and left at 10 yards,
or maybe it was partially my grip. The grip is a tad small for my hands. Although this Pietta is a 44 magnum I bought it specifically to be my 44 special single action
revolver and that's how I'll use it.
Overall this is a nice revolver. It has a really nice deep color case hardnening appearance on the frame that hasn't faded. On one side of the cylinder the blueing is
worn or scratched off like it was dragged across some gravel but that is only cosmetic. There is some lover's inscription on the left side of the stocks (to my sweetheart
kind of stuff) dated 2020. Although it is nicely engraved in the wood I think I will look for some other stocks for this gun. And I would like them to be a bit bigger.
Overall I think I found a nice revolver at a nice price.

ETA: where would I find such grips?
