Rifles, shotguns or accessories that I want after seeing them at the 2010 SHOT show.
1. Thomspon Center ICON ... very smooth action, short throw bolt, three position safety, three locking lugs, integral scope bases (picatinny rail), interchangeable bolt handle, corrosion resistant coating .... very impressive rifle and I want one.
2. FN SCAR 17S (.308 Win.) Why anyone wouldn't want this rifle is beyond me. The thing is friggin' amazing!!
3. Glock 22 (Gen. 4) .40 cal ... great pistol!!
4. Benelli M4 semi-auto shotgun and possibly their carbine which has the same gas piston system.
5. Badger Ordnance M2008 short action ... as close to an AI action as one could want. A good choice for anyone looking to build an AI clone with an AICS stock.
6. Zeiss Victory Compact point and Zeiss Victory Z-point ... both seem to be ideally suited to M1A Scout rifles or Marlin .45-70 rifles with zero magnification but an easy to see red dot. I particularly like the Compact point model.
7. Vltor M1A/M14 stock (rigid, ergonomic and kind of funny looking but I liked it).
8. ACR (possibly)
9. Barret 98 Bravo in .338 Lapua. The action is very smooth and fast, great ergonomics, minimalist in design. I'd love to own one.
10. New Premier Reticles 1.1 - 8x scope. Very clever feature of a red dot from 1.1x to 2.5x (IIRC), then a mil dot reticle from 2.5x to 8x.
