As I get older (69) I'm shooting a lot more 22's lately (easier on my hands and my wallet). I recently picked up my 1st of 2 22/45 MK IV Rugers, this one was the light version. I have to say this handgun is about as good as it gets. A little over $500 OTD, it's not cheap but I feel that it's an excellent value for the money. The main reason that I even considered the MK VI's was because of the super easy take down. (My Buckmark was an absolute nightmare to clean & maintain). I always break in my 22's with a 1000 rds of Mini Mags and this gun was no exception. After my 1000 rd mini mag break in there isn't any 22 bulk ammo that it doesn't like. The gun runs flawlessly, is way more accurate than I am & the trigger pull and break are excellent. I couldn't be more pleased & has become my favorite range gun. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality 22 at a reasonable price. It's exactly the type of firearm a really like. Take it out of the box, clean it and shoot, shoot & shoot it. I'm probably at around 4-5 thousand rds through it just keeps ticking away like new.
