eBay seller “kbsheaths“ made to order. Delivery one month. About $80. Nice quality.

^^ Nice sheath.

Some good quality knives come with not really very good sheaths. Looking at you Bark River.

My Canadian came with this poorly fitting generic sheath that is not even the same shape as the knife, is too big and has poor retention:

So I had a much better one made: Savage Sheaths, found on a knife website I frequent. Now I'm happy.

@Boattale, were you seating your knife deeply enough in the Bark River sheath? The contours of the sheath seem to exactly match your knife.

It has a fiber/hard liner that only lets the knife go as deep as the bulge that shows in the photo. The tip of the knife was nearly an inch from the bottom of the sheath with the knife as far in the sheath as it will go. Which didn't suit me.

Look at the contours of the Savage Sheath v. Bark River generic. The Bark River sheath looks like it was made for a clip shaped blade like their Gunny style knives, not the ellipitical shape of the Canadian. And the Savage has a snap closed retaining strap. Which I also prefer over just friction to retain the knife.

It looks like the handle is mostly secured by the sheath, like the Spyderco Bow River That handle needs a firm push to seat properly into the sheath.

In any case, I'm not there. It's just suprising to hear of poor QC from a company like Bark River.

I don't think it's QC, I think it's BRK using a sheath they have made for their other knives for the Canadian. I may be over picky

That looks like the wrong sheath for the knife when I look at their website(of course that could be bias since you've said it doesn't fit properly). Did you reach out to them with a picture of the sheath and knife?

I have not. Happy now so no real need. Not mad at BRK, just a little disappointed.
