It has a fiber/hard liner that only lets the knife go as deep as the bulge that shows in the photo. The tip of the knife was nearly an inch from the bottom of the sheath with the knife as far in the sheath as it will go. Which didn't suit me.@Boattale, were you seating your knife deeply enough in the Bark River sheath? The contours of the sheath seem to exactly match your knife.
I don't think it's QC, I think it's BRK using a sheath they have made for their other knives for the Canadian. I may be over pickyIt looks like the handle is mostly secured by the sheath, like the Spyderco Bow River That handle needs a firm push to seat properly into the sheath.
In any case, I'm not there. It's just suprising to hear of poor QC from a company like Bark River.

I have not. Happy now so no real need. Not mad at BRK, just a little disappointed. That looks like the wrong sheath for the knife when I look at their website(of course that could be bias since you've said it doesn't fit properly). Did you reach out to them with a picture of the sheath and knife?
