I just received my new Skinner Peep sight in the mail. It looks great just sitting on my Guide Gun.
I plan to install it later this evening.
In the meantime I started just taking it apart to see how it all fits together. I removed the set screw holding the aperture post so I could see how much change in elevation it had.
After removing the screw the aperture is still too tight to move by hand.
I don't want to damage it in any way so I have not tried anything other than hand pressure.
Is there anything else that has to come out of the setscrew hole? Are there any special tricks to getting the post loose?
I have called and emailed Andy at Skinner just now and am sure he will respond in appropriate time; I just hoped that probably anybody that had a Skinner sight could probably answer my simple question in no time.
Thanks, Jack
