A guy I work with just picked up a new (looks like it has never been shot) Stevens SXS (Upland?) 12 gauge from an acquaintance for $325 with a soft case and is asking if he made a good deal. I am not familiar with the gun and my gunbroker search just muddied the water. 3"chambers single trigger.
He handed it to me and IMHO it's a good looking piece. If it were me I probably would've bought it simply because I am lacking a SXS of my own.

Did he do well?

Russian made. The styling is different, and they are not light, but like a lot of other things Russian, they work. I had one for a few years and used it for waterfowl.

Thanks
The new owner is 6'5" and on the other side of 350lbs. A heavier shotgun is probably not going to bug him a bunch. I'll let him know he did good.

thx again!
