CZ75's are my favorite service pistols. In 9mm I have two full-sized steel Tanfoglio clones and a compact polymer Turkish clone. But I didn't have a full-sized polymer version. Perhaps you can guess where this is heading...

I decided to keep my eyes open for a full-sized polymer 9mm CZ or clone thereof. They were open off and on for a while. I almost kind of went to sleep at the wheel, eventually.

But I saw a full-sized Turkish clone for ridiculously cheap on GB last week and won it for a bid of $159. With tax, shipping, FFL, etc it was $230 OTD. It seems like I've run across lower used pistol prices lately. Hopefully it's a trend. :)

The CZ action locks up like most modern pistols - like a Browning Hi-Power. The slide sits inside the frame, instead of on the outside like most pistols. It's DA/SA with a manual safety. The magazine holds 15 rounds. The ergos work extremely well for me.

This one was carried in a holster enough to show wear in a few spots. It was shot enough to make the rails shiny in places, but not enough to make a strong "smiley face" near the end of the barrel. It was dusty inside and probably hadn't been cleaned since it was last shot.

SAR did a nice job. The polish on the barrel and feed ramp is excellent. The fit and finish are very good overall. The trigger is extremely nice. Might be the best DA CZ trigger I've felt. The rear sight is drift-adjustable. I wouldn't mind if the sights were a little larger - that's my only criticism so far.

I'll take it to the range next week. If it shoots fine (which I expect it will, from the looks of it), I'll have two polymer service pistols with decent triggers. The PPQ has a good trigger, too. The rest are rubbish. :)

I'm not sure which varieties of mags will and won't fit the SAR's. If anyone happens to have any information on that, I'd appreciate it.

I've owned two of the SAR compact CZ clones, and now this full-sized one. So far I've been impressed by all three. If you're in the market for an inexpensive CZ clone, you might want to check them out.

The B6P is a pretty good pistol. Sar does not have a great reputation for customer service but this gun tends to be pretty stout. Ive known people who have had one for years and never had a hickup.
Check out Lucky snipe , com for mags, They carry a pretty full line of Sar mags,

I have both the B6P and the CM9 Gen 2. Both are great, and the CM9 is just a fantastic gun with improvements in grip shape/texture (You will love it or hate it, I don't really get the hating at all). My CM9 is my "house gun" with a body mass red laser on it.

Is there a 2nd set of importer markings on your pistol?
Seeing the finish wear on that one makes me wonder if it isn't an Israeli PD trade in gun.

Israel off loaded a hodge-podge of 9mm and 380 guns into the US market about 13 years ago. Most of them had lots of finish wear.
Israel has since gone all Glock for it's pistols.

Side note seeing the huge variation of handguns that Israel had, I now understand why "Israeli Carry" was a thing. Carrying chamber empty was the only universal way they could train with such a wide variety of handguns.

This one might be younger than 13. It says "EAA Rockledge, FL" in what looks like a factory imprint. There's some random dings, but most of the wear looks like it's from a specific holster. Somebody was carrying it around somewhere, apparently.

Mec-Gar CZ 75B mags should work in the SAR B6P. The 19 rounder fit my B6P, but I did have to take a Dremel to the notch on the mag to widen it a bit.

I bought a lot of them, including the one in my avatar above, a full sized and compact "Mossad" in the Tanfo "Wonder Finish" along with a Beretta 84, 85 and 81, and a Browning BDA 380. All of them have some wear, but I was picky and all are at least 85% or better The 85 was about 90%. The one in my avatar is a "Combat Cohai" gun, and the main wear on it is the grips were a mess. I cleaned them up and sanded them a little and sprayed satin varnish on them. The gun came, as several other imports from Israel, with a mag full of dead baby spiders in them.

I got two steel 9mm "Cohai" models and a Beretta 85. Mine were the dinged-up $200-something versions, but they're all good shooters. :)

Sorry Tallball for the hijack.

I bought 3 Israeli FN Hi Powers. My friends talked me out of 2 of them. I'm down to this beater Star of David marked FN MK3, plus a non-Israeli MK2 FN. I like it's worn finish - gives it lots of "Character."

@drobs It can't be a hi-jack if other people have already posted pics. :)

I just now got around to discovering that the mags from my full-sized Tanfoglios fit in the SAR and hold the slide open and so forth. I'll try shooting with them next week.

I'm expecting it will shoot just fine... and also starting to suspect that my "good luck" with used handguns is directly related to my preference for proven service pistols. Took me a long time to make that connection. Duh. :)

Here's another Israeli Tanfoglio, to further muddy the waters...

I forgot my really sad looking SAO (I didn't see that when I bought it) Jericho 941 that is the latest one of my surplus guns. It had the wrong recoil spring and guide rod when i got it, it shoots fine now, but looks awful:

I have another Jericho, a "Semi-Compact" that came from a pawn shop, and is pretty much in new condition. I like all steel guns a lot.
