Hi

My name is Wayne. I come from Adelaide, South Australian and enjoy hunting.
I mainly hunt for foxes but also enjoy shooting rabbits and feral goats.

I also enjoy maintaining my hunting website with videos and pictures as well as hunting techniques i use.

It seems like you guys and girls have a nice progressive forum going here and i hope im going to enjoy my stay.

I presume that the fox are an invasive species as well as the rabbits?
Also in some of the videos there is a metallic reverberation after the shot.
Are you using a sound moderator/supressor on your rifle?
I also love that you can see the projectile in some of your videos.

The fox was introduced by the English for traditional style fox hunting back in the late 1800's

Since then it has spread and along with feral cats is responsible for the extinction of some animals and near extinction of others. This along with the cost of predation on livestock are my main reason for shooting foxes.

The rabbits were also introduced and unfortunatly for the native wildlife the calici virus was released killing alot of the rabbits which inturn would have made the foxes and rabbits change their diets...it was a little of a dammed if you do and dammed if you dont situation.

The metalic sound in some of the film is because the ute we shoot from sometimes has the sheep cage around us to make it safer and reduce our chances of falling off so this is simply the sound of the shot and the steel.

Welcome, Eddie. I think you'll like this forum. The hunting section isn't as busy as some of the others, but there are some very good posters here, and interesting threads.

Welcome, Eddie!

It's great to see some more internationals joining in the hunting forum!

Do you have feral hogs down under and do you hunt them? Just curious.

DIGME We do have feral pigs here in OZ but unfortunatly for me we do not have them in my area.

Over east and up north they have quite a few although there numbers are being hurt i beleave by the continuing drought.
