this new member to the winchester group home was welcomed yesterday, after a bit of haggeling where both the seller and the buyer were satisfied. i was looking for a decent 1873 in 38-40 to go with my 1873 in 44-40, and as i,m a shooter they must have a very good bore and this 38-40 has a 8 out of a ten bore and i,m a hard grader. to shoot cast bullets a good bore is a requirment for me, if the rifle has that i can live with other inprefections. its going to get a good cleaning and then it will be making fire-smoke and lead down range. eastbank NEW PHOT0,S OF RIFLES ADDED.
