Nickle Colt SAA date of Manufacture

A local shop has a 7 1/2 inch nickle Colt SAA in 44-40, SN S155XXA, in beautiful condition with no cylinder turn line that I can see. Can anyone provide a date of manufacture? Is that an unusual or usual barrell length? It sort of feels a little awkard, but I guess someone could get used to it... I think that is the one Frank (Henry Fonda) had in Once upon a Time in the West. Thanks for any assistance. Bill

The revolver is newer then any public records I know of. You may have to check with Colt's Customer Service Dept.
