just saw NIGHT HAWK TACTICAL, price tag little over 2 grand.

2 grand for a pump shotgun doesn't sound right to me. I know nothing of them or the company, so maybe the are awesome. curious if anyone has heard any thing about them.

The majority of the working guns around here cost less than 1/10 that amount (yes, less than $200*) to start with, though many have gotten a little appreciation in the way of Sidesaddles, lights, slings, an occasional touch of Tritium, etc. For two grand the thing ought to walk around and shoot itself.

Got a link to this treasure??

*The newest addition to the safe here is a Mossberg 590 Marine 9-shot, for a bit over $200. Y'all can spend money like it was someone else's if you want, there are too many bargains out there for me to do it.

It's a funny thing about guns. There's a price range where the manufacturer sounds like they may have an impressive weapon, then there's a price range where they just sound like a bunch of thieves.

There are only two companies I will spend 2k on a shotgun. Benelli and Beretta. Night Hawk...nice try, but I don't think so. Stick with the 1911's.

more than many Browning or Beretta O/U's, LOLOLOLOL! Over two grand for a Remington pump, hahahahaha!!! PT Barnum was right...

It's a tricked-out 870 and nothing else. And less useful as it sits than a plain jane box stock 870 Express HD would be. No freaking way is it worth two grand, IMHO. No doubt there are sufficient deluded individuals out there who will buy it because it says tack tickle in its name though. But I can tell you who WON'T be buying one, even if I had millions to waste on useless fripperies.

That nighthawk and the police elite to me seems like too much money for a shotgun. Maybe that kind of money on a collectible or a finer show piece, but a SD/HD shotgun?! NO WAY. For that kinda money it should be gold plated. A few accessories and "labor" doesn't justify that price.

If you want to spend that kinda money on a tac shotgun, for 1/3 the price get a Tromix Saiga, semi-auto 12 gauge, can't go wrong, much better than a pump. Don't be a sucker for fancy wording of a simple pump shotgun.

but but... it says night hawk on it... and its taci-cool to the Xtreme (yea thats right the extreme without the "E")

as Lee pointed out its a remington 870 that night hawk has done some work to but it in no way shape or form is worth 2k theres not enough tactical garbage to strap to a shotgun that could make it that pricey

nighthawk may make some nice 1911s but i dont think they can fetch the prices they are asking for that shotgun unless your a complete and utter NOOB when it comes to buying anything but hey who knows maybe after ppl buy that shotgun they can go sell it for some magic beans

If you want a shotgun like that you can get an old wing master, do the paint job and install those parts your self for MUCH less than 2k. I wouldn't dream of paying $1900 even if I wanted a shotgun just like that.

I think they just carried over from Wilson/Scattergun Technologies shotguns when they jumped ship and started Nighthawk across town.

I have a friend who was big into sending old beater 870's to Wilson for the "Remington Steal" Tackycool rebuild deal.

Out of five guns he had done, I had to gunsmith two of them to get them working properly when he got them back. I'd have expected more after spending $230 bucks for what amounted to a mediocre Parkerizing job.
