I had totally forgotten about the need for a sling for the Awerbuck Tactical shotgun course Im taking in september, so I have been researching slings. Has anyone heard anything about the Tactical Tailor Urban Ops Tactical Sling? I saw it on lightfigher at http://lightfighter.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=414. Its fairly inexpensive, and I prefer the single point design. I am also considering a wilderness single point and a G and G mount, but would prefer not to spend a 100 dollars on a sling system. My third choice would be a uncle mikes sling with the magazine sling adaptor. My concerns with this one would be the sling getting caught up in the pump.

I like the concept(and price) of the Tailor Sling, but if its not a good product, im willing to spend more money if neccessary. I like single point sling designs and have used them with ar-15 and m16 rifles.
Any thoughts on any of these slings, or other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

WWLU? What would Louis use?

I decided against a single-point sling because it limits my carry options. In other words, you use it as a single-point sling always; you have no muzzle-up/muzzle-down slinging options. Which is why I like a 3-pointer. YMMV. CQB Solutions (http://lightfighter.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=345) or OZE Products' identical model.

Also be advised that Lightfighter has backordered some slings; I've been waiting for mine for 3 weeks.

SapperLeader,

I agree with Average Guy.

I was originally going to buy the sling you cite, but Tactical Tailor sent me this one instead:

I'm glad they did. I would just order from them direct.

You can use this one very effectively as a carry strap style sling if you want, which you can't with the single point. For range use, I think you'll appreciate just "letting it hang" during breaks which this sling allows. This sling also has a buckle you simply unsnap, and instantly you are out of the sling and can shoot from your offside shoulder if need be, which according to those who have BTDT, is mandatory with a sling.

This one, the CQB Solutions, or the Wilderness Giles will all work fine.

I use a Tactical Tailor Tac-Sling on my carbine and I'm very satisfied with it. It's a good unit and provides a lot of options for carry. I'd buy another one.
