I have both, a Ruger sp .357 with Winchester silvertips and a P99 in .40sw with Speers. Honestly though, 1 shot from the .357 in a dimly lit room would probably blind me for any followup shots. Its more habit than anything to keep the the Ruger there. I'd likely grab the Walther with the 10round mag.

Colt 1991A1 5" blued loaded with 230gr hydra shok jhp. I have used revolvers though here and there. Last one was a 6" S&W mod 14 with 158 gr lead semi wadcutter hollow points.

I will admit though to having such a rifle or a Swiss K31 available in the unlikely event a N. Hollywood type bank robbery takes place in my neighborhood and the robbers decide to take cover on my property.

Since I can’t squeeze my M1S90 into the nightstand, I keep my Sig 220ST w/M3X light loaded with 230 Golden Sabers.

I keep one spare magazine with it in cause I have to reload on my way to the closet with the Benelli in it.

I either need a bigger nightstand, or a smaller bedroom.
