PLEASE READ THIS COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has just come to our attention that the Million Moms are going to protest in Trenton. NJCSD needs to be there to fight back!

So................
We are going to counter protest the MMM in Trenton.

The problem is that you may have to take some time off of work to do so. Their protest is scheduled for a Wednesday without a time mentioned as of yet and NJCSD is in the process of securing the proper permits for the counter rally.

We need ALL our members and non-members who are committed to changing the laws to take off of work in order to show our state that the MMM position is not the only position.

If you are truly committed to make a difference, and believe in your right to self-defense and the 2nd Amendment, NOW is the time to stand up and be counted!

Finally,
NJCSD needs a reply from all those contacted of either:

"YES! I can make the rally" in Trenton on Wed., May 26.

or

"NO! I cannot make the rally" in Trenton on Wed., May 26.

Please sent the above response of YES with your individual email/board name(if applicable)/real name to my email so I can form a contact list in order to keep all interestd parties updated with last minute info at:

Friends,
I was at the Second Amendment Sisters Washington Rally on Mother's day and there was a showing of about 200 people to MMM's 2500.

Many in New Jersey said it was too far to travel. Well, here are the MMM knocking at YOUR door in YOUR State at YOUR capitol. Are you going to do something about it? I hope so.

WOW.......................................

No wonder we have the government that we do in New Jersey. If fellow statesmen can't find the time to show up and support a group that stands for what you supposedly believe in then all truly is lost. Did I mention that the .50 caliber ban is back up and running as of May 6th in NJ?

The problem guys is that first they start with .50 cal and then they move on down the cal. list.

http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2004/Bills/S2000/1546_I1.HTM

STATEMENT

This bill amends N.J.S.2C:39-1 to revise the definition of "destructive device" so that it includes weapons of 50 caliber or greater.

Although primarily devices or instruments designed to explode or produce uncontrolled combustion, the current statutory definition of "destructive device" also includes weapons which fire projectiles of greater than 60 caliber.

The provisions of the bill specifically exempt antique firearms and antique handguns from the 50 caliber limitation. With this exemption, antique firearms and handguns would continue to be governed by the current "greater than 60 caliber" limitation. Antique firearms and handguns are defined in the statutes as firearms which:

(1) do not fire fixed ammunition or were manufactured before 1898 and for which fixed ammunition is not commercially available; and

(2) are possessed as a curiosity or ornament or for their historical significance or value. The statutory definition of antique handgun includes "replicas."

The bill also affords an exemption for persons who lawfully possessed a firearm of a caliber of 50 caliber or greater on or before the effective date of the bill. This "grandfather" provision will permit those persons to continue to lawfully possess their large caliber firearms.

The possession of destructive devices is prohibited under New Jersey law (N.J.S.2C:39-3). A person who knowingly has in his possession any destructive device is guilty of a crime of the third degree. A crime of the third degree is punishable by a fine of up to $15,000; imprisonment for three to five years; or both.

Oh, that's right. You don't hunt with .50 calibers and they would NEVER come for your shotguns.

We have met the enemy and it IS us........................................

BUMP

Any others out there? We have 15 dedicated individuals as of this posting with more starting to ask questions......

Only YOU can make a difference!

Good luck Ray. Even though I don't live in NJ I'd make it if I could. Hope you get more than 15. Nice meeting you and the family in DC.

If I was a little(ok a lot) closer than Utah I would come. Glad to see you're not giving up or backing down out there.

RALLY UPDATE..................

The rally has been changed to Friday, July 16. See the post "Trenton N.J. Rally" in the "Ralling Point" section of the board.
