No more Rugers for me

S&W and Remington ILS and S&W mag safeties are easily removed. A small recessed allen screw fills the hole nicely. Remington also sells non-ILS rear firing pin shrouds (to the customer, even!)

the SR9 and the P95 mag disconnects are easily removed without tools....

and as for the LCI, i have an SR9... when you are looking down the sights, you cant even see the LCI... and IMO, the red paint is a good thing, when it isnt bright red, it lets me know its time to clean the gun...

but to each their own... my SR9 is 5 weeks old, ive got over 400rds through it and have yet to see a problem

I've always liked Rugers...

I like their legalese-stuffed "manuals" that they mail free to anyone who asks. The ones that say that "we don't have no steenkin' warranty." But if you have something break, and you didn't really go out of your way to break it, they take care of you.

The lawyer who told me about the futility of waivers made the point that it was impossible for me to waive someone else's right to sue. I think he said that you couldn't wave the rights of your heirs to sue, etc. He also mentioned that you couldn't waive the rights of a 3rd party to sue.

He acted like waivers were not a very high hurdle for a competent liability attorney. He may also have been full of himself.

But the issue you bring up looks like a show stopper to me. The OP cannot waive the right of someone else injured by the weapon to sue Ruger.

And I feel real sure that a weapon with a barrel marked for one caliber that actually shoots another caliber is a hug liability for the manufacturer.

I have 3 Rugers . A RedHawk and 2 Mini 14s. The quality on the stainless Redkawk Is really top notch.
My only Gripe about Ruger is --HI cap Mags for the Mini 14s.
At One time They thought they knew better than the rest of us and forbid the sale of Hi cap Mini Mags to us civies....Making there own self imposed AW and Mag BAN is Not The way to my heart !
I se they have a new NRA special out and it comes with Hi cap mags !
Anyone know if the factory is releasing NEW Postban Stainless Mini 14 mags ??
PS=> My Brother has a Mini 14 chambered in 222 NOT 223-From the factory!
