I have used 150 partitions in 300wsm at over 3300 fps at the muzzle. It knocks deer down every time, punches 2 holes and no red goo. Eat right up to the hole. 130 Nosler boat tails in 270win blew up hitting a rib at 100 yards. Lots of red goo and one hole not so good to me. YMMV

I had two back-to-back bad experiences with Ballistic Tips and gave them up, despite the match type accuracy I was getting. I switched to the Partitions and they are as dependable as anything I've used.

A "standard" bullet that has really impressed me is the Sierra Game King. I've had outstanding accuracy and premium-type bullet terminal performance from them in a .270 deer rifle.
