I have a nice practice load ( 158gr lswc ) for my 442 that just about duplicates my carry load ( Win. 158gr lswc hp +P) for point of aim. Problem is, there's crappy ventilation where I shoot, don't care for the over exposure to whatever's in the cloud that blows back over my head after each shot.....

Should I just switch to a 158 gr fmj bullet? Would that be enough to clean things up? I'm using 231 and WSP primers. Thanks for any help....

Plated bullets will do the job. You'll need a bit more powder to duplicate swaged/cast velocities, but there will be essentially no smoke. Also, use a very gentle crimp so as not to cut the plating.

The best deal seems to be Berry's bullets from either Graf & Sons (grafs.com) or Cabela's (cabelas.com).

Where the ventilation is bad wear a mask. An inexpensive paper surgical mask will do, if you don't have the bucks for a better one. Lead dust and powder residue isn't good for your innards.
