I don't know if this is the right place but does anyone have an opinion on the 213 in 9mm, thanks.
Richard

I had one, sometimes wish I had it back. It was pretty accurate and reliable with FMJ. It needed a little work to feed hollow points reliably, but once done it was reliable with them. It's a flat pistol and carries well. The grip shape/angle and safety are awkward to varying degrees. I never really relied upon the safety. It's hard to overcome the hammer when racking the slide; it's best to cock the hammer before hand. There were some really sharp edges/points on mine; they would find a way to bite me when cleaning the pistol. There are two types of the 213: one uses a dedicated 9mm magazine and there is a spacer pinned the frame to facilitate it's use; the other uses a 7.65x25 magazine with a spacer installed inside it.

Hello Gents,

Us Canuks we lucky this year as a boatload of M213's came in. They were the 9mm dedicated versions and went for 99CDN a pop :D

I bought two of them for some John Woo action at the local outdoor range (needless to say it was fun but barn doors had little to fear from me at that session).

They are fun little guns, way rough finish in spots but both feed 147gr FMJ just fine. Even added some compensators for more of a pop/flame show.

What really surprised me was the accuracy. At 25 feet I emptied the clip rapidly w/o a rest into the target and all the rounds landed in a 4 to 5 inch grouping dead centre. More than happy with that performance for the money.

A great little pistol for a stupid good price at least in my neck of the woods.

I've had one for years and also have a .38 Super conversion kit for it. In order for .38 Super cartridges to feed properly, the cartridge feed guide rails must be opened slightly. It's an easy job. The kit consists of a barrel, bushing, recoil spring and, of course, mags designed for the 7.62x25mm cartridges.

I had one in the early '90s and sold it to a friend. It worked very well, had sort of a nasty trigger. I loaded it with UZI-brand black-tip carbine ammo. A good $100 beater gun for the car.

is there a place to buy new converted magazines? or better yet a way to add the spacer to the mag well of the pistol to use the dedicated mags?

I had one for a while and sold it. Nothing against the gun, it just didnt fit my hand right. If you break the grips, which is easy to do, you'll have to order new ones. Probably from Eastern Europe. I had one of the models with the spacer in the mag well. It fed ball and HP perfectly. If I had to do it over again, Id just get a tt-33 or one of the other 7.62x25 variants.

I own several Norinco 213s, two were early KSI imports that still had the 7.62x25 breach space, so I converted both of them(just use a 9x23 reamer) to fire 9x23 Winchester, 9x23 Largo, and .38 Super, and yes they both shoot all three, and yes I have mix loaded the mags between the three and had no problems. The one that is a dedicated 9mm will stay that way. It's a good little gun 8+1, and a good shooter at 20 yards. Wish the sights were better but if you can get one for less than $250 you can't go wrong.

J&Gsales.com has the Romanian TTC in 7.62x25, I own five of them(inheritted some, bought some used at steal deals). Ammo is relatively cheap still, and you can find the occassional Wolf Hp ammo. One of CCW is a Norinco Type 54 7.62x25 loaded with Wolf HP, in ballistic gelatin it's penetrate to 15" and expand past .40 nearly everytime. Also in Russia there have been reports of the old ammo penetrating heavy kevlar body armor and killing the police. So it's a nice thin gun I tuck in the pocket of one of my large pockets and BUG it to my snub .357.

okay so if i add the spacer to take standard magazines, will the gun still feed ok? anyone have experience with this? and how hard is it to add the spacer to the gun?
and what all needs done to make one of these feed hp ammo reliably?

Mine feeds fine, the first one never had a FTF in over 55,000 rounds. I didn't shoot many hollowpoints, but they all fed fine. I didn't have to do anything to get them to feed. YMMV.
The only thing you need to do is drill a straight hole to drive the pin that holds the shim in place.

They are on the crappy side but I had one that was as accurate as a P225 Sig Sauer I have! I've always wanted the .38super conversion kit but have never seen one in person or for sale.

What is the going rate for one of these? At what price are they a steal? At what price a rip off? I saw one for sale recently but I have no idea what the market for them is.
