I'm searching the forum but the search criterea are too common to every other topic on this. Mine is specific.

I currently have Federal 180 gr Partitions for my elk cartridge. Outstanding performance! But also outrageously expensive. So I bought a number of PPT and Sptz to begin working up my load to replace these when I run out. I already have IMR4350 and W760 on hand and prefer to see if one of these will be a suitably accurate replacement.

Can one of you guys with a Nosler manual tell me what, if at all, they show for:

30-06 180 gr Partition both PPT (25396) and Spitzer (16331) using W760 and IMR4350? So:

PPT with W760
Spitzer w/ W760

PPT w/ IMR4350
Spitzer w/ IMR4350

Thanks,
Andy

From Nosler manual #6, which does not differentiate between PPT and Spitzer. The charges listed are:

W760----Max = 54.0 @ 2730fps---Min = 50.0 @ 2510fps.

IMR4350--Max = 55.0 @ 2758fps--Min = 51.0 @ 2548fps.

Most accurate:
W760---54.0
IMR4350---51.0

I am assuming the refferal to "Federal" in the OP is a missprint and you meant "Nosler".

Hope this helps.

Thank you guys!

Yes, the Federal is the premium factory ammo Vital Shock loaded with a 180 gr Nosler Partition.

AHA! Just shows how long its been since I bought (or used) factory ammunition!

I use 54 gr IMR 4350 with 180 gr Partitions in 30-06. CCI 200 primers.
Great elk load.
Standard disclaimer- not max in my rifle, yours may vary.
