Purpose made tumblers and/oe vibratory...

A vibratory tumbler cannot be used to wet tumble. Although I currently only tumble using dry media, buying a vibratory unit locks me out of ever trying it, so I'm left with rotary tumblers and they are all the same cost or more (sometimes much more) than a Harbor Freight cement mixer and a couple tubes of gasket sealant.

Dial up out that far would be doing good to get 14.4.

Actually, the lines will almost always deliver 26.4 or 28.8 with speeds approaching the ever-elusive 57.6 on a good day. I attribute it to the fact that when they replaced the party line they dug up the old stuff and put in an entirely new wired infrastructure - only the best of 1970's telecommunications technology - in 2003.

For data that's a joke, but it does have the luxury that a voice line only costs $8 a month.

Well you said you where using dry media which is usually in a Vibrator tumbler.

As for water in a Vibratory tumbler, yes you can.

Good luck taking brass cleaning to the next level.

Adding a few tablespoons of water to a vibratory rock tumbler to ensure that the fines stick to the surface of the rocks is not quite the same as tumbling brass with pins in water where there are no fines generated.

But, I want to thank you for the link since it did give me a new approach to investigate in the potential use of alluvial sands (which do have a significant fraction of clay fines) as a "boutique" tumbling media.

Have you considered a 5 gal bucket with a lid Load it with brass. Media and liquid, Put in the back of a pickup truck on it's side and let it slosh around as you drive around.??

Or get a bunch of Hamsters with a roller cage and some gear reduction unit and have the little Buggers spin it at night. Suppose you could catch some Prairie Dogs instead.

A windmill with pulleys and gears would work also.

;):)

How long has the TI motor and gears lasted, 10-12 years? I'd prolly just replace the gears and worry about it in another 10 years. Unless you're a tool nut like me looking for any excuse to buy a new tool...:D
