Where is all the 6.5 Creedmoor SRP brass?

I've been using small rifle primer brass since buying a 6.5 Creedmoor. Now, anywhere I look, SRP brass is not available. But, large rifle primer brass is. Are they stopping manufacturing SRP brass and shifting to LRP brass exclusively? Or, is something else going on?

Current Pricing on Once Fired Brass

Hey guys, after a lot of consideration I have decided not to get into reloading. That means I have a lot of brass laying around that I no longer need. I am planning to sell my brass but not sure of the current prices. All brass will be as it was picked up, not polished or de-primed. Here are the...

    Reloading advice for 32 S&W and 38 S&W

Good morning (at least to those of us in PST timezone), I think my next affliction is going to revolve (literally) around pocket revolvers in the 32 and 38 S&W caliber. Most likely ones produced from 1905 and later, so very definitely still in the transitional period from black powder to...

    Enlarged 9mm Flash Hole

Hey all, I was cleaning some 1x fired 9mm Winchester brass for reloading today and I noticed that the flash hole on a number of the cases was enlarged, in an oblong shape (see photo). Any ideas on what causes this (especially on only 1x fired brass)? Would you consider this safe to reload? Thanks.

    Want to start annealing brass

Want to start annealing brass I have been reloading for a long time, but I have never annealed my brass. I have a decent amount of fired brass for 223, 30-30, 270 Win, and 7.7x58 Japanese. The 223 brass has been loaded and reloaded several times. I want to start annealing to get more...

What is the difference: Federal and ∙Federal∙

I have been sorting 45ACP and 40S&W brass by head stamp and have come across 2 different Federal head stamps. One just has the word Federal the other has a dot before and after the word: ∙Federal∙ Any difference to be noted for reloading purposes? Obviously Federal thinks they needed to...

Vibrate or rotary for brass cleaning

I was cleaning brass yesterday and my green vibrator motor got stuck. I was able to spin it manually and it started working again. I am thinking over its replacement. My first vibrating tumbler was a Frankford and the motor did not last 20 hours. My green one I replaced it with I have had for...

    45 Colt - newbie question

I am new to reloading. I use a RCBS Rock Chucker. So far I've only loaded some 9mm. I got everything from a guy that was getting out of reloading. Amongst everything was a box of Hornady 45cal 250gr XPS. I thought I would load some (haven't yet) for my Judge. I ordered some once fired brass (qty...

Want to load .45-70. Need brass. Where to look?

My father gave me the family heirloom Springfield Trapdoor. I want to load for it, but need brass. Looked at Midway, Natchez, Cabelas, Powder Valley so far. I have the dies, 300 gr. jacketed bullets, AA 5744 on the way, but can't find brass anywhere. Also can't find a bullet mold either. Any...

Would you reload your 9mm reloads?

I know there are different schools of thoughts on this and would very much appreciate you sharing yours. I intend to reload my hand loads that employed new brass the first go around, it’s the “once fired” that I got from Capitol Cartridge and the range retrieved brass that I’m not sure about...

    Brass consistency and trimming

Hey guys, So I was just at my reloading bench getting ready to load a ton of .224/5.56 rounds for an upcoming event. I haven't loaded this caliber in a while, and I was measuring my sized brass, with a wide degree of results. I know the trim length is 1.750", and the max case length is 1.760"...

Affects of accuracy with different brass

Hi all, I am new to reloading. I have been taking my time doing a lot of reading and planning. Last weekend I did some testing of 4 different loads. All loads were identical except I used 3 different types of brass and the 4th load I tested for any differences from my case length being 1.750...

    7.65x53 Brass Forming

Hello chaps I have a reloading query here. I want to make 7.65x53 mauser (for the Argentine and Belgian Mausers) cases from a more available calibre. I tried using a Lee 7.65x53 full length sizing die on 30-06 cases and then trimming, but the resulting cases wouldn't chamber. I contacted Lee...

What calibers are worth saving for reloading?

Heya, I have a couple hundred pounds of brass I need to get rid of. After 20 years of sweeping up brass, planning on reloading one day, ‘looks like that day won’t happen. I don’t to sell brass to the scrap yard when a reloader can use it. If I ship it to a reloading company, when postage is...

A nice site update and reply.

I saw that Starline has a new site format yesterday. It's very nice. I thought I'd tell them about it and recieved a reply today at two. I find the new site more streamlined, though it was fun to scroll a huge list of cartridges with pictures of them. (Redacted), Thank you for the kind...

    Starline bottlenecked rifle brass

Hello friends, I reload for several handgun calibers and have always been very satisfied with Starline brand brass. I'm branching out into rifle reloading, 5.56x45 specifically, and I'm curious whether or not the Starline rifle brass is of high quality. I've read that Lapua is considered the...
