Now I have to build another AR, maybe.

I'll just take the hot witchy chick in that pic ;)
You'd better check the Hot/Crazy matrix, first.

You need to join ARs not so Anonymous
"Hello. My name is MistWolf. I have ARs. I have Jeeps. I have battlerifles I have a motorhome. I work on Warbirds and other vintage aircraft in my spare time. I have NFA items. I don't have a problem. Life is good!"

No but you can’t resist the power the guns have on you.

You need to join ARs not so Anonymous

Step one — admit you have a problem
Step Two — say *&$##&(
Step Three - get another AR or assemble another
Step Four - skip steps one and two and go back to step 3
My guns don’t control me. I control them. But if I ever said that I didn’t love my guns, the good Lord would strike my with lightning, or make me get married, for telling such a lie. ;)
I think I’ll finish building the 458 SOCOM before I start another. And yes, there will always be another.

Never said they control you

Step ones is accepting you have a problem

All problems aren’t bad

Seems like you skipped one.
I think you have two down

Omg married again, that sounds horrid

You’ve got steps 3 and four down so that’s all that matters!

But I don’t have a problem. I can afford to support my habit.:neener:

Keep it up wise guy
And you won’t have a problem
You’ll have a bunch of problems!

For starters, have you been carrying and FEEDING all of those ARs?
Have you been EXERCISING them all properly?
Giving each one the care love and attention he or she requires?
Taking update pics so we can be sure they’re all fine?

You do realize if you don’t we’ll have to call DSS (dept of shooting services) on you.
Do you want them coming in and finding you an unfit parent?
Having to find foster homes for all of them?
Man, the problems as all the poor ARs going into foster homes.
Crying ARs
And our worst nightmare a crying Gunny

And then the end of the world as no Gunny has ever cried!

Imagine the news, crazy cat, um crazy AR guy. News at 11 world ending soon.
All because you didn’t realize you had a problem.

So yea you can support the habit, but I think you need to go look at the four Steps again. (ARs Anonymous only has 4 steps, we feel 12 is too many and they take time away from building and shooting)

Remember we only require our members to follow steps 3 and 4!
And you clearly got them down!

But you may be forcing us to come up with an intervention program so all of those ARs get used!
Maybe a weekly or monthly range day with Gunny! Each week or month a different THR member can come shoot with you, or you can go shoot with you.

I’ll propose the first one for your next vacation if you want to come on up and visit the NRA museum and range.

I care and feed all my ARs. Just did an ammo count and have just over 10,000 rounds of 5.56. When I’m unable to spend range time with them, my son takes them, but I help clean them when they get home. I even change there parts when needed.

Ha! Ha! The local DSS employees come by on a regular for coffee and to play with my ARs and other guns.
I do have to admit. The Gunny does cry, but it only happens when John Wayne dies in a movie.

I could see the world ending if I ever went off the deep end.

I like skipping numbers

I used to take plenty of road trips to go shooting with friends, work has gotten in the way of that. But I retire soon, so get the spare room or couch ready.

Humor back at you. ;)

I have found the chink in Gunny's armor!!!!! Has anyone ever seen a picture of his earmuffs???? Me either! That proves he builds guns but never shoots them! I've heard of copycats but never one that professes to be a real shooter of ARs. He is also a proven collector of ammo and ammo cans. If he was a real shooter his trigger finger would also be worn down.!!!! :)

We addicts are all the same: "I’m in total control; I can stop whenever I want to. Now just isn't the right time."

Curses Foiled Again! maybe he shoots so much that he wears out a pair of earmuffs each month.
I guess that is the proof of a true shooter!
However, being a real skeptic, I still haven't seen a picture of Gunny's worn down trigger finger..... HEY! Gunny! NOT THAT FINGER, the one next to it!

The trigger finger is not worn down but it does have a slight bend in it.
I did have to use my middle finger to shoot for about three years. Radiation messed up a lot of stuff in my neck, chest and shoulder. Took a few years to get things to work right

Pay no attention to the stuff on my desk, I’m at work right now.

I wish i had that stuff on my desk at work......

Funny, Ive got a crooked trigger finger (hit square on the tip by a pitch years ago. Doc said it was "Finnneeee"...doc also sampled his medicine locker....) I actually find it difficult to pull some triggers consistently depending on the shape, and use my middle finger sometimes (with the old autocockers i used in paintball i had to pull with my middle finger because of the length of travel and shape of the frame).

Well I for one like it! Maybe not enough to want an OD/Black combo but maybe that new bronze or gray or even FDE/OD now that receivers and handguards are colorized. Either way, money well spent on a good stock. You could always make a few more and mount them to the wall for shelf supports? Oversized coat hooks. That’d be nice.

Hmmm! the trigger finger looks like mine..... slightly worn... as are most of ours here on THR. Gunny, keep sending us your fine pictures and great project updates! Your AR builds are coercing me to do a behind the wife's back project soon. ( I failed with the flaming ammo box paint job as the canvas was not big enough to scroll with an air brush as in the You Tube presentations.)
I've found that the wife does not know the difference between a Smith 29 (8-3/8) blued and a Smith 629 (8-3/8 stainless). As long as I clean one gun at a time, therez no problem. Only God knows if I can slip another AR into the mix without her moaning and groaning.
She seems to know which car is hers, but guns are a different story.

Mustache? I no longer have a mustache. My job makes me cut it.
Once upon a time I had a real mustache. I’ll get started on it again in two years. I should also have more ARs too.
